Variety: SL28-SL34
Altitude: 1500
Region: Runyenjes, Embu County
Process: Washed
Producer: Small producers in Embu

Hundred of different small producers growing their own coffee in Embu County, Kiritiri, took part in this coffee bringing them to Ngaindethia wet mill on the same day they are picked from over 70.000 different coffee trees. Red ripe cherries are separated from underripe, overripe, and foreign matter.
Processing uses clean river water (wet processing) that is recirculated before disposal into seepage pits. Sun drying is done before delivering to the dry mill for secondary processing.
This coffee has a nice citrusy acidity, reminding grapefruit, sweetened with blackcurrant notes, with a lemony aftertaste.
